About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Neighbor, you will join the team as a full member to build and release features for our marketplace. You will work with a dedicated mentor to learn our systems and contribute to our mission of using technology to change the self-storage industry. You will have the opportunity to take ownership over key initiatives and influence our product strategy.
What you'll do#
- Learn our technology stack, including TypeScript, React, Swift, Kotlin, Ruby, AWS, Golang, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the Neighbor.com marketplace.
- Perform user experiments and data analysis to improve the user experience.
- Define product features and design user experiences.
- Prioritize projects and drive system architecture.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or the ability to demonstrate strong coding ability.
- Proficiency in a major programming language such as JavaScript, Swift, Java, Kotlin, Golang, C++, Python, or Ruby.
- A desire to work as a full team member in a startup environment.
- Ability to work on-site at our Lehi, UT headquarters.
- Availability to start between April and June 2027 for a 12-week internship.
- Availability to begin working full-time within 12 months of completing the internship.
