About the role#
As an FP&A Intern, you will work directly with the numbers that leadership uses to run the company. You will help build the annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range models. You will report to the FP&A Manager and contribute to the materials presented to our board. This role serves as a direct path to a full-time position, and strong performers may receive a full-time offer to join the team after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain the models behind our forecasts and long-range plans.
- Track monthly results against the plan and explain the drivers behind any differences.
- Model marketplace economics, including supply and demand growth by market, take rate, and CAC payback.
- Develop key budget assumptions with business partners during planning cycles.
- Pull data from BI and accounting tools to answer leadership questions.
- Turn complex analysis into clear conclusions for the team and management.
- Help prepare financial materials for quarterly board meetings.
- Research industry trends and recommend opportunities.
- Own expense forecasting for the entire business.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Graduating by May 2028.
- Strong Excel skills and coursework or project experience building financial models.
- Available to start between April and June 2027 for a 12-week internship.
- Able to work on-site at our Lehi, UT headquarters for the duration of the internship.
- Available to start a full-time role within 12 months of completing the internship.
- Habit of checking your own work.
- Interest in working at a startup, which requires high ownership and impact.
- Preferred experience includes prior finance internships, case competitions, or work experience.
- Familiarity with tools like Superset, Tableau, Netsuite, Looker, SQL, PowerPoint, and statistics coursework is helpful.
- Comfort using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to assist with analysis.
