About the role#
The Security Strategic & Ops Analytics team provides data analysis and reporting to support business decisions. As a Summer Associate, you will help the team use data to drive efficiency in Fraud Operations and identify new opportunities for the Fraud Detection team. This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship program running from May 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Create and update reports and dashboards using standard procedures.
- Identify trends and patterns to prepare ongoing data visualizations.
- Build a centralized risk assessment dashboard to view consolidated risk indicators.
- Develop a proactive ID theft dashboard to highlight detection opportunities.
- Contribute to key performance indicator reports and conduct root cause analysis.
- Partner with senior staff to define specifications for analysis and reports.
- Support team projects and initiatives.
- Follow data governance procedures and report any inaccuracies to your manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or master’s level student.
- Pursuing a degree in business administration, statistics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Familiarity with business intelligence applications, cloud services, and database software.
- Experience with data querying or programming.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Strong research, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous internship or work experience in data analysis is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site at 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA.
- Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
