About the role#
This internship provides experience in managing mental and behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, and families. You will work under the supervision of a licensed professional to develop your skills in diagnosing and treating behavioral and emotional disorders.
What you'll do#
- Perform diagnostic and risk assessments.
- Provide therapy services and case management or care coordination.
- Participate in observation activities.
- Maintain clinical documentation and handle consultation and outreach tasks.
- Respond to internal and external messages.
- Attend internship program activities, including seminars and training events.
- Maintain positive patient and family experiences and support your colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master's or Doctoral program in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- An appropriate Ohio trainee license.
- A valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle background inspection, meet insurance eligibility requirements, and complete necessary driving training.
- Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A willingness to seek and accept supervision.
