About the role#
The National FFA Organization is seeking interns to support newsroom operations during the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo. You will gain experience in a professional newsroom environment and build a portfolio by creating content for an audience of over one million people. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Edit newsroom stories for the FFA Live! streaming broadcast, the organization website, and social media channels.
- Collaborate with newsroom journalists to produce content.
- Arrive in Indianapolis on Monday, Oct. 19 and work a minimum 10-hour shift daily from Tuesday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 24.
- Conduct interviews and create content, which may involve extended periods of walking, standing, and carrying equipment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in media studies, communications, agriculture, or a closely related field.
- At least two years of experience shooting video on DSLR cameras.
- Ability to navigate the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium to conduct interviews.
- Experience with Panasonic GH6/7 is a bonus.
- Prior experience or knowledge of the agriculture industry or National FFA is a bonus.
