NATIONAL FFA CONVENTION & EXPO NEWSROOM VIDEO EDITOR INTERNSHIP

About the role#

The National FFA Organization is seeking interns to document the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. This role offers the opportunity to produce content for a large audience, including the organization's members and supporters. Interns will work in a newsroom environment, receiving coaching from professional editors while building a professional portfolio.

What you'll do#

• Edit newsroom stories for the FFA Live! streaming broadcast, the organization's website, and social media channels.
• Collaborate with newsroom journalists to create and produce content.
• Conduct interviews and gather footage, which requires navigating the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.
• Manage physical tasks including extended periods of walking, standing, and carrying production equipment.
• Work a minimum 10-hour shift daily from Tuesday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in media and production, agricultural communications, telecommunications, or a closely related field.
• At least two years of experience shooting video on DSLR cameras.
• Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, arriving Monday, Oct. 19, 2026.
• Professionalism and the ability to work effectively in a newsroom setting.
• Experience with Panasonic GH6/7 equipment is considered a bonus.
• Prior knowledge of the agriculture industry or National FFA is considered a bonus.

• Compensation: This is a paid internship including a $500 project stipend, travel expenses, and meals.
• Academic Credit: This position may be eligible for college credit, subject to approval by your academic advisor.
