About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in non-profit communications and marketing. You will work alongside professionals to raise awareness for our mission through print and digital storytelling. This is a part-time, paid position for an 8-week term.
What you'll do#
- Meet with program managers and frontline staff to identify and document client stories.
- Create content for internal and external communications, including newsletters, staff emails, and flyers.
- Update website articles, images, and general content.
- Track and report digital analytics for social media, email campaigns, and the website.
- Provide support for event communications and assist with photography or video projects.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to the leadership team summarizing your work at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or Marketing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
