About the role#
The Missing Children Division Intern supports the team in Rochester by assisting with case management and data projects. Interns work directly with families, law enforcement, and social service agencies to resolve cases. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. While this is an unpaid internship, you may receive academic credit through your college or university.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical assistance to families, courts, and law enforcement agencies.
- Liaise with state and law enforcement agencies to help resolve cases.
- Organize case information and maintain detailed case files.
- Perform research using open source and social media platforms.
- Update information in the case management database.
- Assist with ongoing data projects for the organization.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of college.
- Concentration in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to analyze written materials and perform online research.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
