About the role#
The Missing Children Division (MCD) intern supports the daily operations of teams working to resolve cases involving missing and exploited children. You will assist staff by managing case documentation and coordinating with external agencies. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional environment and is eligible for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical assistance to families, law enforcement, social service agencies, and courts.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and state agencies to help resolve cases.
- Organize case information and maintain working case files.
- Perform research using open source and social media platforms.
- Update and maintain information in the case management database.
- Assist with ongoing data projects.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of college in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to analyze written materials and perform online searches.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Park, Florida.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Parking or public transportation expenses are reimbursed.
