About the role#
National Carwash Solutions is hiring an Engineering Intern to support product development. You will work on mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and documentation. This is an on-site, paid position in Grimes, Iowa, with an estimated workload of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Design and build test fixtures.
- Test and evaluate equipment to recommend design modifications.
- Assist manufacturing and service personnel with equipment troubleshooting.
- Support research and development for product innovation.
- Develop and present final project outcomes to peer and leadership groups.
- Work hands-on with engineering and shop personnel to develop equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design products for potential market release.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Competency in CAD solid modeling.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical skills, such as FEA, CFD, or calculations, are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
