About the role#
MSI is offering a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in claims and insurance. This role is based in Tampa, Florida, and provides hands-on experience through a rotational structure. You will work across various functional areas, including department leadership, operations, training, and quality improvement.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for First Notice of Loss (FNOL) intake and related processes.
- Assist with system updates, integrations, and implementation projects.
- Build and develop reports to support data and analytics initiatives.
- Review and analyze claim forms, policies, and endorsements to understand coverage determinations.
- Develop new processes and tools to improve departmental efficiency.
- Complete rotations with internal teams and assist with special projects as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program with a focus on risk management or a related field.
- Must be local to Tampa, Florida.
- A demonstrated interest in risk management and insurance.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
