About the role#
As a Production Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in our manufacturing facility. You will work on real business challenges, partner with leaders across the company, and turn ideas into action. Your experience will culminate in a presentation to senior leadership regarding your results and recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Assist production teams in monitoring daily manufacturing activities to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Support initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiencies, and optimizing production processes.
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and process bottlenecks.
- Assist in creating and updating work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools.
- Partner with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an Operations Management, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related academic program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a production environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Grand Prairie, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
- Physical requirements: You will work in both office and manufacturing environments. This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs or ladders, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. You must follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
