About the role#
As a Maintenance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the food and beverage manufacturing environment. You will work on real business challenges, partner with leaders across the company, and implement solutions. Your experience will culminate in a presentation to senior leadership regarding your results and recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and documenting preventive maintenance activities.
- Support initiatives focused on improving equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency.
- Participate in equipment inspections and assist with troubleshooting efforts to resolve mechanical or operational issues.
- Support work order management, parts inventory tracking, and maintenance records.
- Work with maintenance and operations teams to identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Engineering, or a related academic program.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a troubleshooting mindset.
- Interest in industrial maintenance, manufacturing equipment, and reliability programs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information and documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Grand Prairie, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This role requires working in both office and manufacturing plant environments, including exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise, and moving machinery. You must be able to follow safety requirements, wear PPE, and stand or walk for extended periods.
