About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program and runs for 12 weeks. You will join a team within Global Communications that designs and tests AI-powered tools for internal use. The work involves drafting communications to support these tools and helping the team understand how AI can assist communicators with tasks like drafting announcements and building presentations. You will work alongside communicators, technologists, and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Explore how AI agents can support communications teams by identifying potential use cases.
- Contribute to early-stage agent development and help set priorities for future tools.
- Draft promotional content such as announcements, newsletter items, and success stories to drive tool adoption.
- Create pilot user communications, including onboarding notes, release updates, and quick-start guides.
- Build presentations for sponsors and leadership that translate technical progress into clear narratives.
- Test AI tools by running structured test cases and documenting performance.
- Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to gather input for materials.
- Research how peer companies communicate about AI.
- Support the AI incubation team with day-to-day tasks and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, specifically junior year or above.
- Majors in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or Business Administration.
- Hands-on experience with at least one generative AI tool, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to write clear, persuasive copy with strong proofreading and grammar skills.
- Understanding of basic principles in communications, public relations, and internal marketing.
- Experience building presentations that tell a story.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Rahway, New Jersey.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week.
- Term: Full-time for the summer, from May 2027 through August 2027.
- Sponsorship: This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
