About the role#
The Biologics Process Research & Development (BPR&D) internship is a 10-12 week program designed for students to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Interns join teams focused on process cell sciences, upstream and downstream process development, or manufacturing operations. You will support the development of manufacturing processes and technologies for our biologics pipeline.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to develop novel bioprocess technologies.
- Solve technical challenges related to biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing.
- Participate in departmental and project team meetings to understand the drug development process.
- Maintain accurate electronic notebook records of experimental details.
- Analyze and interpret data from experiments.
- Present research results through oral and written reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD program in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, or Pharmaceutical Science.
- Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate study by June 2027.
- Availability to work full-time for 10-12 consecutive weeks starting in May or June 2027.
- Basic laboratory skills, including safe practices and data analysis.
- Research experience and a problem-solving mindset.
- Interest in biopharmaceuticals or facilities and maintenance.
- Preferred: Familiarity with CAD software, DCS/PLC systems, data historians, or P&IDs for manufacturing roles.
- Preferred: Skills in data science, computational biomolecular modeling, or machine learning.
- Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or higher.
