About the role#
This co-op position joins the Oncology Pharmacology and Disease Modeling team at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. You will work on the experimental generation and computational analysis of spatial biology data to characterize preclinical oncology models. The project focuses on the tumor microenvironment by combining spatial transcriptomics, multiplex tissue imaging, and cross-species modeling to understand cellular composition and molecular states.
What you'll do#
- Perform spatial biology experiments on human and mouse tissues, including staining, assay execution, and imaging.
- Support the optimization and implementation of spatial transcriptomic and high-plex protein imaging workflows.
- Analyze datasets through data quality control, visualization, cell annotation, segmentation, and phenotyping.
- Integrate spatial RNA, protein imaging, and histopathology data to characterize tissue architecture.
- Apply cross-species approaches to compare mouse tumor models with human disease.
- Collaborate with scientists in in vivo pharmacology, pathology, translational research, and computational sciences to interpret and communicate findings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate or advanced degree student in an accredited program.
- Related major or minor in fields such as Biology or Biomedical Sciences.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
- At least 9 credit hours completed for graduate students or 12 credit hours for undergraduates.
- Experience analyzing single-cell or spatial transcriptomic data using R or Python.
- Familiarity with computational tools for single-cell analysis, image analysis, or spatial statistics.
- Interest in digital pathology, multiplex imaging, and tumor microenvironment biology.
- Ability to interpret complex biological datasets.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and willing to complete a drug test and post-offer physical.
Location & details#
- Location: Ridgefield, CT.
