About the role#
The Devices Android Application Development Team builds Android applications for Public Safety customers. This internship offers hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle within a professional telecommunications environment.
What you'll do#
- Gather requirements and participate in the architecture and design of mobile applications.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Android mobile software.
- Enhance existing applications to meet user needs.
- Connect applications to back-end services using RESTful APIs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Graduation date on or after December 2027.
- US citizenship, permanent residency, or work authorization for MS students.
- Experience with mobile application development on Android, including Android Studio and framework components.
- Understanding of Git, object-oriented development, and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Android security features and mechanisms.
- Optional experience with Kotlin is a plus.
