Student Intern - The Elmwoods

About the role#

The Student Intern at The Elmwoods supports the property management team in maintaining optimal occupancy levels and fostering positive tenant relations. This role focuses on the leasing process, marketing initiatives, and daily administrative operations of the residential property.

What you'll do#

• Manage the leasing process by screening applicants, conducting credit and employment checks, and completing necessary leasing documentation.
• Show available suites to prospective tenants and ensure vacant units are staged and market-ready.
• Support marketing efforts by monitoring advertising accuracy, surveying local competition, and arranging model suite displays.
• Provide front-desk reception, greet guests, and prepare move-in packages for incoming tenants.
• Maintain accurate records of rental traffic, guest cards, and suite availability using the Yardi dashboard.
• Produce weekly rental reports and assist with general office administration, including mail distribution and maintaining stationery supplies.
• Communicate with building staff to report maintenance needs and ensure properties remain in good condition.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education in Marketing is an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using Yardi is considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to exercise good judgment.
