About the role#
The Student Intern at The Elmwoods supports the leasing team in maintaining optimum occupancy levels and fostering positive tenant relations. This role involves managing the rental process, coordinating marketing efforts, and providing administrative support to ensure the property operates effectively.
What you'll do#
- Inspect vacant suites and coordinate necessary maintenance or decorating tasks.
- Screen applicants, conduct credit and employment checks, and manage the leasing paperwork process.
- Show available suites to prospective tenants and manage the move-in process, including preparing welcome packages.
- Monitor advertising accuracy and assist in developing marketing strategies, including surveying local competition.
- Arrange mini model displays to showcase available units.
- Greet guests and maintain an inviting office environment with necessary supplies.
- Manage data entry for guest cards and leads using the Yardi Dashboard.
- Track rental traffic, suite showings, and prepare weekly rental reports for management.
- Perform general office duties such as mail distribution, photocopying, and maintaining stationery levels.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, with post-secondary education in Marketing considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Previous experience using Yardi is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and effective closing skills.
