Student Intern - Tomken Place

About the role#

The Student Intern at Tomken Place supports the property management team in maintaining occupancy levels and fostering positive tenant relations. This role involves managing the leasing process, executing marketing strategies, and providing administrative support to ensure the property operates effectively.

What you'll do#

• Inspect vacant suites and coordinate necessary repairs or staging to ensure units are market-ready.
• Manage the leasing process by screening applicants, conducting credit and employment checks, and completing required documentation.
• Show available suites to prospective tenants and manage the move-in process, including orientating new tenants.
• Support marketing efforts by monitoring advertising accuracy, surveying local competition, and arranging model displays.
• Maintain accurate records of rental traffic, guest cards, and suite availability using the Yardi dashboard.
• Provide administrative support, including reception duties, maintaining office supplies, and preparing weekly rental reports.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate, or Communications is an asset.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Yardi software is considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
