About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building operations and maintenance. You will work under the supervision of the Operations team to ensure the property and its grounds remain in good condition for tenants and visitors.
What you'll do#
- Perform repairs and installations on non-structural building systems, including plumbing, painting, and minor carpentry.
- Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance for building systems and the building envelope.
- Oversee and carry out grounds-keeping tasks such as landscaping, parking lot upkeep, and snow removal.
- Respond to tenant requests for service in their premises or common areas.
- Support Building Operators with scheduled maintenance of major building systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional client service skills.
- A neat and tidy appearance.
- A valid driver's license is an asset.
