About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in building operations and property maintenance. You will work under the supervision of the Operations team to ensure the property and grounds are maintained to a high standard for tenants and visitors. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2025 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform repairs and installations on non-structural and non-vital building systems, including plumbing, painting, drywall, and minor carpentry.
- Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance for building systems and the building envelope.
- Maintain accurate repair and maintenance logs.
- Oversee and perform ground-keeping activities such as landscaping, parking lot upkeep, and debris removal.
- Respond to tenant service requests regarding their premises or common areas.
- Support Building Operators with the scheduled maintenance of major building systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent client service skills.
- A neat and tidy appearance.
- A valid driver's license is considered an asset.
