About the role#
As a Student Intern at The Colonnade, you will support the property management team in maintaining high occupancy levels and building positive tenant relations. This role involves daily leasing operations, marketing support, and administrative tasks to ensure the building runs smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Manage the leasing process by showing suites to prospective tenants, screening applicants, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Perform credit, landlord, and employment checks for all applicants.
- Assist with marketing efforts by monitoring advertisements, surveying local competition, and arranging model suite displays.
- Greet guests and maintain an inviting office atmosphere for both new and existing tenants.
- Prepare move-in packages and orientate incoming tenants to the building.
- Record rental traffic, guest cards, and suite showings in the Yardi dashboard.
- Produce weekly rental reports for the manager.
- Handle general administrative duties such as mail distribution, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma. Post-secondary education in Real Estate, Marketing, or Business Administration is an asset.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with MS Office.
- Experience using Yardi is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
