About the role#
The Student Intern for The Colonnade supports the building management team by maintaining occupancy levels and fostering positive tenant relations. This role focuses on the leasing process, marketing efforts, and general office administration to ensure the property remains market-ready.
What you'll do#
- Inspect vacant suites and coordinate necessary repairs or staging to ensure they are ready for prospective tenants.
- Manage the leasing process, including screening applicants, performing credit and employment checks, and completing required documentation.
- Conduct suite showings and assist with move-in orientations for new tenants.
- Track rental leads, guest cards, and daily traffic using the Yardi dashboard.
- Prepare weekly rental reports for the manager.
- Monitor local competition and suggest marketing strategies to improve rental performance.
- Maintain a professional and inviting office environment, including managing supplies and greeting guests.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as mail distribution, photocopying, and office supply inventory.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma; post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration, or Real Estate is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience with Yardi is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong closing skills.
