    About the role#

    The Fixed Income Quantitative Analytics and Technology Co-op Program offers students a chance to apply technical and analytical skills to investment management challenges. You will work with portfolio managers, researchers, and analysts to build tools, automate processes, and analyze data. This role supports investment decision-making across various fixed income strategies, including Emerging Markets Debt, Municipal Bonds, and Mortgage and Securitized Investments.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct quantitative research and analysis to support investment strategies.
    • Develop and test quantitative models using financial and market data.
    • Build automated workflows and analytical tools using Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
    • Manage, cleanse, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
    • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for investment professionals.
    • Develop and maintain infrastructure supporting market, holdings, and alternative data.
    • Integrate new data sources into existing reporting and analytical processes.
    • Build tools to monitor differences between modeled and live investment strategy performance.
    • Automate trading, reporting, and financial analysis workflows.
    • Support quantitative research teams with model development, testing, and monitoring.
    • Assist in the development of risk, portfolio analytics, and reporting tools.
    • Complete ad-hoc technology, analytics, and quantitative projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Ability to commit to six months of full-time employment from January 2027 to June 2027.
    • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
    • Expected graduation date after December 2028.
    • Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience programming in Python, SQL, R, or similar languages.
    • Experience working with structured datasets.
    • Interest in quantitative research, data analytics, automation, machine learning, or financial technology.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Experience with data visualization, quantitative modeling, or analytical projects is preferred.
    • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Dataiku, Bloomberg, or Git is a plus.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
    • The role is on-site and requires a commute to the Boston office.
    • This is a paid, full-time co-op position.
