About the role#
The Data Operations team manages the quality and reliability of financial data across our products. As a Financial Engineer Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, process automation, and financial reporting. This is a full-time, 10-week program where you will work on projects that impact our operational efficiency and data accuracy.
What you'll do#
- Analyze financial data and support operations to improve product reliability.
- Monitor reporting metrics to spot unusual results or data quality issues.
- Investigate the causes of data anomalies and perform verification tasks.
- Build and improve automated processes to reduce manual tasks.
- Evaluate how changes to data sources affect our products.
- Refine processes for extracting date information from financial reports.
- Explore how artificial intelligence tools can improve data analysis and efficiency.
- Document your findings, analyses, and any process changes you implement.
- Work with team members and business partners to resolve data-related issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and communicate complex information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Basic programming skills and a basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts.
- Ability to work full-time from June 7 through August 13, 2027.
- Advanced SQL skills, knowledge of the structured finance industry, and familiarity with Python, C++, C#, or Visual Basic for Applications are preferred.
