About the role#
The Public Finance team provides bond underwriting, private placement, and municipal advisory services to non-profit entities and municipalities. As an intern, you will work directly with bankers and analysts to support capital project financing for clients across the country.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and RFP responses for municipal and non-profit clients.
- Update financial information for presentations by using proprietary and subscription data sources.
- Identify potential bond refunding candidates using bond analysis and pricing software.
- Perform bond structuring analysis to support the team.
- Gain exposure to bond sales and trading functions within the Capital Markets Group.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for business, accounting, finance, economics, or pre-law.
- Enthusiasm for helping clients find solutions to finance capital projects in their communities.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Kansas City, Missouri.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027, starting in late May.
- Compensation for this role ranges from $33,786 to $49,698.
