About the role#
The Ratings Multimedia Summer Intern will join the Research Graphics and Multimedia team to produce digital content that highlights Moody’s Ratings insights. You will work with a global team to create video, podcast, and social media assets that explain complex financial market topics. This is a full-time, 10-week summer program designed to provide hands-on experience in content production, editing, and distribution.
What you'll do#
- Research, pitch, and develop creative ideas for podcasts, short-form videos, and multimedia projects.
- Partner with producers and editors to execute video shoots, interviews, and talking-head content.
- Capture high-quality video, audio, and photography assets.
- Edit and package content for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other digital channels.
- Create promotional teasers, highlights, and social-first assets.
- Design visual elements including thumbnails, graphics, and captions.
- Monitor social media trends and performance metrics to refine content strategies.
- Assist with production logistics, asset management, and daily operational needs.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Multimedia, Communications, Film Production, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with multimedia production, including video or podcast creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or similar non-linear editing software, including color grading and sound design.
- Experience using professional-grade cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Understanding of major social media platforms and experience optimizing content for these audiences.
- Interest in current events, financial markets, and global economic developments.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Previous experience through internships, student media, or related extracurricular activities is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 through August 13, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (requires working in the New York office at least two days per week).
- Compensation: $35 per hour.
