About the role#
We are hiring a Student Dish Crew Worker to oversee daily operations in the dish room. You will work under the Dish Crew Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in our dining facilities.
What you'll do#
- Manage the dish room and ensure all areas remain clean and sanitary.
- Operate dish room equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow Dining Services policies, including opening and closing procedures.
- Communicate operational needs and equipment repair requests to your supervisor.
- Learn the proper use of cleaning agents and follow safety standards.
What you'll need#
- At least one year of supervisory experience in a high volume restaurant or college food service setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members.
- A strong work ethic and a team oriented mindset.
- Adaptability in a busy environment.
- Two years of food service experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
- Students from Business Administration, Nursing, Nutrition, and Psychology programs are encouraged to apply.
- Expect a high volume environment with significant noise from industrial washing equipment.
