About the role#
This is a part-time position for students to maintain outdoor areas. You will keep the grounds safe, functional, and clean for visitors and staff.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine maintenance including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and planting flowers.
- Manage winter tasks such as removing snow, spreading salt, and de-icing.
- Inspect and repair outdoor structures like stairs, trash cans, and roof drains.
- Keep the campus clear of litter and debris.
- Operate equipment including ATVs, forklifts, skid steers, leaf blowers, and lawnmowers.
- Report safety hazards or maintenance issues to management.
What you'll need#
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Experience using outdoor power tools and equipment.
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- A commitment to following safety protocols and regulations.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or overtime when required.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site in the United States.
- The position is part-time with a rolling term.
- Open to students majoring in Agriculture, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Kinesiology, or Criminal Justice.
