About the role#
The Venues Marketing Intern supports the promotion of events at Capital One Arena and EagleBank Arena. This paid, part-time position focuses on marketing efforts, event programs, and brand awareness initiatives. You will work directly with the marketing team to support daily operations and event-specific projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for daily marketing activities, events, and projects.
- Brainstorm creative ideas for advertising, social media, and brand campaigns.
- Organize and manage the marketing department’s digital asset inventory, including resizing assets.
- Assist with social media strategy, content creation, and tracking growth metrics.
- Create decks to highlight monthly performance across venues.
- Coordinate with the marketing team during event nights and fan activations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Ability to work 20 hours per week from September to May.
- Academic background in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Design, or Media Studies.

- This role is based in Washington, DC.
- The position is on-site and requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
