About the role#
We are looking for a QA Test Engineering Intern to join our Quality Engineering team. You will work with experienced Test Leads and development teams to support manual and automated testing activities. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise applications in the Financial Services industry while learning modern AI-assisted engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing and executing manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Report, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Support automation testing initiatives using Java, JavaScript, and BDD frameworks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to test data preparation and test environment validation.
- Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve productivity and automate repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to understand quality expectations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and SDLC/STLC concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Java or JavaScript programming.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn automation testing and quality engineering practices.
