About the role#
The Quality Lab Co-op provides students with hands-on experience in an industrial quality laboratory setting. You will work alongside technicians, engineers, and quality professionals to support testing, inspection, and data analysis activities that ensure products meet company and customer standards. This position is suited for students who have completed laboratory coursework and want to apply scientific principles in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform laboratory testing and inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished materials.
- Prepare samples for testing and analysis.
- Record, verify, and report test results accurately using laboratory documentation practices.
- Assist with the operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Support process engineers and quality personnel with investigations and improvement projects.
- Enter and analyze data using Microsoft Excel and other software tools.
- Maintain test logs, control charts, and quality records while keeping the laboratory environment organized and clean.
- Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biology, or a related STEM field.
- Completed college laboratory courses involving hands-on experimentation, measurement, or data collection.
- Ability to accurately document results and follow standard procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
