About the role#
The Quality Lab Co-Op provides students with hands-on experience in an industrial chemical manufacturing laboratory. You will work alongside technicians, engineers, and quality professionals to support testing, inspection, and data analysis. This role focuses on ensuring products meet company and customer quality standards while gaining exposure to manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Perform laboratory testing and inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished materials.
- Prepare samples for testing and analysis.
- Record, verify, and report test results accurately using company documentation practices.
- Assist with the operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Support process engineers and quality personnel with investigations and improvement projects.
- Maintain test logs, control charts, and quality records.
- Ensure the laboratory environment remains clean, organized, and safe.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biology, or a related STEM field.
- Completed college laboratory courses involving hands-on experimentation or measurement.
- Ability to accurately document results and follow standard procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
