About the role#
As a Summer Quality Intern at our Garrett, Indiana site, you will support product and process quality improvement initiatives. You will work with the quality and operations teams to analyze data, map manufacturing processes, and identify ways to enhance performance. This role focuses on using data-driven problem solving to improve product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Map processes in production and quality areas to find improvement opportunities.
- Review quality management processes and procedures.
- Gather and analyze data using statistical methods to suggest and implement improvements.
- Communicate with operations leadership and manufacturing personnel as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar technical discipline.
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application.
- Availability for at least one semester following the internship.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks between May and August.
