About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to explore the HVAC business while developing professional skills in a working environment. You will work under the direct supervision of a department manager for a 12-week period. The role focuses on expanding your knowledge of industry practices and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Complete tasks assigned by your supervisor.
- Handle clerical, administrative, and support duties.
- Shadow team members to learn about different roles within the department.
- Participate in work teams and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Learn technical skills specific to the HVAC industry.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to help address challenges and identify opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college program with relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage your time effectively.
- A strong work ethic and a drive for problem-solving.
- Ability to work well in a team across different units.
- US Citizenship or authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Knowledge of the facilities or construction industry is preferred.
