About the role#
MNP is looking for an intern to join the Assurance and Accounting team for the Winter 2028 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Duncan, British Columbia. You will work with a team of professionals to provide financial information that helps clients make business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Apply knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Conduct walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize client status.
- Work with the client engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- You are completing the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous office experience in accounting is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is an asset.
