About the role#
The Electronics for Contested Space Group develops electronic systems to protect national space capabilities. The group designs satellites and payloads, creates resilient space architectures, and works on sensitive radar and RF systems. As an intern, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of next-generation space systems.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, design, and develop resilient space electronics.
- Perform electromagnetic and systems analysis.
- Build and test hardware.
- Develop embedded systems and automate test procedures.
- Analyze data to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year before the start of the internship.
- Experience or coursework in areas such as analog or digital electronics, power systems, RF design, radar, signal processing, satellite subsystems, or PCB layout.
- Familiarity with programming languages like C, C++, MATLAB, or Python.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Lexington, Massachusetts.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- This position is paid.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
