About the role#
The Advanced Capabilities and Technologies Group develops technology for satellite systems used to monitor objects in space and perform remote sensing of Earth. As an intern, you will join a project team to develop new system concepts and technologies. You will receive mentorship from a technical staff member throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Test and characterize components for a space payload
- Automate high-speed instrumentation data collection and analysis
- Run modeling and simulation tools
- Operate flight systems in lab experiments
- Develop and implement data analysis algorithms
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in mathematics, science, engineering, or related disciplines
- A strong academic background
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance
