About the role#
The Strategic and Long-Range Communications Group develops system concepts for US Government communications. The team focuses on RF communications across ground, sea, air, and space domains. You will work on global connectivity projects designed to operate despite interference and interception threats. This summer internship involves hands-on research alongside scientists and engineers, including workshops and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Model, simulate, and implement RF communications systems.
- Perform system analysis and signal processing modeling.
- Develop GPP, GPU, or FPGA systems.
- Test and measure systems in benchtop environments.
- Characterize systems in fielded environments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Coursework or experience in wireless communications, information theory, analog circuit design, embedded software design, or digital signal processing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
