About the role#
This is a 6-month Co-Op position within the Software and Electronics Engineering Group. You will work on schematic capture and PCB layout for mixed-signal, high speed digital, RF, and power boards. These designs support both ground and space-based systems. You will manage multiple projects at once and research solutions to new manufacturing challenges. This role involves coordinating with fabrication and assembly resources while interfacing with mechanical, thermal, and electronics engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout for various board types.
- Create necessary design documentation.
- Interface with cross-functional engineering teams to complete prototypes.
- Coordinate with fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting schedules.
- Independently research solutions to design and manufacturing problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate degree program in CAD Technology, Mechanical Design, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to qualify for and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
- Experience with mechanical or electrical CAD systems.
- Familiarity with mechanical drafting and dimensioning practices.
- Exposure to PCB design, manufacturing, or assembly technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-discipline and a strong work ethic.
Location & details#
- Location: Lexington, Massachusetts.
- Modality: Hybrid. Some tasks allow for remote work using a company-provided laptop, while others require onsite presence.
- Term: 6-month duration, starting as early as possible or by Winter 2027.
- Employment: Full-time paid position.
