About the role#
The Basketball Operations Intern supports the department with daily administrative tasks, operational needs, and various projects. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily operations at the practice facility, including restocking supplies, distributing mail, and handling shipments.
- Create daily NBA and G League reports, plus maintain depth charts, free agent lists, and salary sheets.
- Support the scouting department with ticketing, credentialing, and database maintenance.
- Assist executives with expense reconciliation, guest escorts, transportation, and video preparation.
- Provide logistical support and travel booking for players and staff.
- Complete special projects across basketball operations, analytics, cap strategy, performance, and equipment departments.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds, walking, and driving as needed.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Three to five years of professional experience in basketball, business, law, or a similar field is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Availability to travel on short notice.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience with the NBA or G League is preferred.
