About the role#
Encapsys, a part of Milliken & Company, is hiring a Process Engineering Co-op for the 2027 calendar year. You will work on-site in Appleton, Wisconsin, during the summer and fall terms. This is a paid position that provides a housing allowance and paid time off. You will be paired with a mentor to guide your training and project contributions.
What you'll do#
You will support the transition of products from lab and pilot trials to full-scale manufacturing. Your work involves collaborating with R&D and manufacturing teams on new product development, cost reduction, and equipment design. Key responsibilities include:
- Design, plan, and conduct lab and pilot scale experiments.
- Support encapsulation scientists and process design engineers on pilot or production equipment.
- Participate in project work, daily operations, production meetings, and production-scale trials.
- Manage day-to-day operations of an agriculture encapsulation plant.
- Create written summary reports and presentations for your projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science/Engineering.
- A minimum 3.00 GPA.
- Preference for rising Juniors and Seniors.
- Ability to apply scientific principles to project designs and manage project execution.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
