About the role#
This is a part-time, year-round student position based at our Saugerties branch. The role is designed for students who wish to gain professional experience while actively enrolled in school. You will work on-site, handling member transactions and supporting branch operations.
What you'll do#
- Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Assist members with routine service needs, such as home banking, bill pay, and debit card issues.
- Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services to meet individual and branch goals.
- Maintain a balancing record of 90% or better and adhere to all cash handling security standards.
- Perform first-line maintenance and reconciliation for branch equipment, including ITMs, ATMs, and TCRs.
- Support daily branch operations, including opening and closing procedures and vault management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use computer software, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform sedentary work, including standing and sitting for extended periods, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
