About the role#
Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is seeking a part-time student teller for our Saugerties branch. This is a year-round position intended for students who wish to gain professional experience while actively attending school. You will work on-site and handle a variety of member transactions and service requests.
What you'll do#
- Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Assist members with routine service needs such as home banking, bill pay, debit card management, and account updates.
- Promote and cross-sell credit union products and services to meet individual and branch goals.
- Perform equipment maintenance and reconciliation for items such as ITMs, ATMs, and TCRs.
- Maintain accurate balancing records of 90 percent or better.
- Ensure workstation organization and professional appearance while maintaining member privacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- High school education or GED.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform sedentary work involving computer use for 6 to 8 hours per day.
