    About the role#

    Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is hiring a part-time Teller for our Hurley Avenue branch in Kingston. This is a year-round position for students who want to work while attending school. You must be currently enrolled in school to be considered.

    What you'll do#

    • Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashing checks.
    • Verify amounts, examine checks for endorsement, and follow fraud prevention procedures.
    • Perform daily cash settlement, count cash shipments, and assist with end of night balancing.
    • Manage opening and closing procedures for the branch.
    • Perform first line maintenance, reconciliation, and settlement of equipment like ITMs, ATMs, and TCRs.
    • Assist members with routine service needs, such as resetting passwords for home banking, issuing debit cards, and updating account information.
    • Promote and cross-sell credit union products while maintaining referral tracking.
    • Organize your workstation and greet members to ensure a professional environment.
    • Maintain the privacy of member account information at all times.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in school.
    • High school education or GED.
    • One to three years of similar or related experience.
    • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to manage multiple workloads and work independently.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening and problem analysis.
    • Ability to deal professionally with diverse personalities.
    • Capability to bend, sit, and stand, and lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to climb or descend stairs in an emergency.
    • Normal range of vision and hearing.
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and spell accurately.

    • Compensation: $18.50 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and education.
