About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with advanced semiconductor engineering. You will work on projects focused on photolithography process development, materials optimization, and patterning performance. You will collaborate with engineers across multiple fields including metrology, dry etch, and wet process to complete research initiatives. During your time here, you will handle two to three project assignments that support current and future manufacturing technologies.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to optimize photolithography processes.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform experiments within semiconductor cleanroom environments.
- Analyze and interpret process data and imaging results using in-house and commercial software tools.
- Communicate project plans, progress, and recommendations through technical reports and presentations.
- Apply AI and data-driven methodologies to support research and process optimization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Commitment to return to academic studies after the internship and continue through at least Fall 2027.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills gained through coursework, research, or laboratory experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet project timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
