About the role#
As an Automation and Operations Improvement Intern, you will work within a research and development factory. You will focus on projects that optimize automated factory systems and improve the efficiency of team members and processes. This role involves working with large data sets to build applications and automation solutions that help users work more effectively and accurately.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, clarify, and assemble project requirements.
- Review options with customers to design optimal solutions.
- Identify and document defects and potential improvements.
- Participate with end users in integration and user acceptance testing.
- Document technical specifications, test plans, and deployment plans.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Bachelor or Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Understanding of database management methods including SQL, Snowflake, and MongoDB.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Perl, Python, or VBA.
- Experience with data management and visualization software like Excel or Tableau.
- Familiarity with using AI to automate processes, organize data, or create scripts.
- Ability to plan, drive, and complete projects effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
