About the role#
As an ATE Process Engineer Intern, you will work on process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives. You will collaborate with equipment teams, operations leaders, and multi-functional partners to meet critical metrics and optimize wafer output.
What you'll do#
- Finish required safety training and follow all safety policies and laws.
- Supervise and resolve issues impacting yield, excursions, defects, or output loss.
- Apply SPC, FDC, and 8D methodologies to optimize processes and improve tool availability.
- Use AI-enabled tools and data analytics to improve engineering productivity and support process optimization.
- Analyze data using engineering knowledge and visualization tools to make process decisions.
- Perform project work to optimize wafer processing and increase wafer outs.
- Update or create documentation and reaction mechanisms to align with area and global practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering or related degree program, with a graduation date no earlier than September 2027.
- Understanding of SPC and Design of Experiments.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming tools like Python or Java.
- Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Matlab, or Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during Summer 2026.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week part-time during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Experience with data collection, warehousing, and cleansing.
- Hands-on experience in data analytics and database querying.
- Intermediate understanding of semiconductor Fab processes and equipment.
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
