About the role#
This Central Electrical Engineering Co-op position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will work on-site in Greenville, South Carolina, during the Winter or Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid role.
What you'll do#
- Audit electrical safety and Arc Flash labels.
- Verify the accessibility of plant lockout/tagout documentation.
- Observe construction processes and create corrective action lists.
- Review and update Process Machine data sheets to meet US standards.
- Calculate power balances for new equipment.
- Maintain Michelin electrical specifications and manage drawing nomenclature.
- Organize and maintain inventory for AutoCAD and PDF files.
- Support the equipment procurement and bidding process.
- Collect and analyze electrical usage data from plant meters.
- Evaluate power quality data and identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university.
- A major in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software systems.
- A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment.
- The ability to work professionally with colleagues, suppliers, and external partners.
- A track record of working well within a team to meet common goals.
- Authorization to work in the United States on an ongoing, indefinite basis. Please note that this position does not offer immigration sponsorship.
