About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Midland City, Alabama. You will support manufacturing operations by working on hands-on engineering projects. This role requires you to be on-site at the facility.
What you'll do#
- Improve safety, quality, productivity, and machine performance.
- Increase process efficiency throughout the plant.
- Identify, justify, and implement changes to existing systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and maintenance staff.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree program.
- Ability to apply lean methodologies in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience using DMAIC process tools to identify improvements.
- Skills in cross-functional team collaboration.
