About the role#
Michael Baker International is looking for a Highway Design Intern for the Summer of 2027. You will work in our Moon Township, Pennsylvania office to support the Highway department on various design projects. This role allows you to learn the profession while assisting with technical tasks under the supervision of a senior team member.
What you'll do#
- Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings.
- Perform routine analysis and prepare basic reports.
- Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation.
- Develop proficiency in MicroStation CADD and OpenRoads software.
- Help project managers and engineers with assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program for Civil Engineering at an accredited university or college.
- Completion of at least 2 years of coursework.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of a college-level engineering course in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CADD software is a plus.
