About the role#
Michael Baker International is hiring Transportation Interns for our Cleveland office. You will work with our Bridge or Roadway groups during the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. This role provides exposure to both design work and on-site construction observation under the direction of project managers and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Prepare roadway, highway, and structural bridge plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist senior engineers within a large multi-disciplinary design team.
- Perform periodic on-site construction inspection and observation.
- Monitor contractor schedules.
- Document field progress and quantities for contractor payment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related program.
- Completion of at least 1 year of coursework.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship.
