About the role#
This internship supports the Command Center Scheduling team within the Paratransit division. You will help manage trip requests for the Access-A-Ride service, which provides transportation for individuals with disabilities. The team focuses on creating efficient, ADA-compliant schedules while balancing operational costs and service quality.
What you'll do#
- Create Floater routes to handle service delays and special events.
- Coordinate special event assignments and assist with road closure grids.
- Document daily activities and track modifications for reports.
- Investigate customer complaints and service issues.
- Assist with the E-hail pilot reconciliation process.
- Analyze daily trip forecasts to optimize service needs.
- Update the carrier matrix to improve service coverage and vehicle utilization.
- Develop holiday schedules and evaluate subscription customer data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Preferred majors include Urban Planning or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- Location: Long Island City, NY.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site position requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week.
