About the role#
Methode Electronics is looking for a Strategy Intern to support business initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage. You will work alongside business leaders to evaluate market opportunities, assess the competitive landscape, and develop strategic recommendations. This role provides exposure to corporate strategy, business planning, and cross-functional decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Perform market and competitive research to analyze industry trends and competitor positioning.
- Gather and synthesize data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist leadership on projects including market entry, growth planning, and operational improvements.
- Construct financial models and strategic frameworks like SWOT or Porter's Five Forces.
- Create slide decks, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with finance, marketing, operations, and product teams.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for research and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a focus on academic excellence.
- Foundational knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python.
- Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude for research and modeling.
- Ability to apply structured problem-solving to business challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leaders.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to manage changing priorities.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Southfield, Michigan.
- The role is on-site.
- Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a permanent basis post-graduation.
