About the role#
Metallus Inc. is hiring a Tube Mill Maintenance Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time internship is based on-site in Canton, Ohio. You will work within a team environment, collaborating with Maintenance Planners, Operations, Engineering, and Reliability Engineers to support Tube Making operations.
What you'll do#
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, safety, and productivity.
- Identify, track, and implement equipment and process improvement opportunities.
- Review and submit drawing updates to keep technical documents current.
- Assist with spare parts management, including tracking critical components and researching parts requirements.
- Help develop maintenance work packages and scopes of work for projects.
- Analyze maintenance and equipment data to identify reliability trends and support predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and contractors to execute projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- A major in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
